Less Boring keeps Boring free for everyone
The edition stays free to read, on the web, in the app and by email. Subscribers pay for the extras below, and toward what it costs to make Boring for everyone.
This counts only what each of Boring’s runs records: Claude, which writes and checks the stories, and the AI voices of the audio, with their transcripts. Hosting, email and everything else cost more on top. Each subscription counts at its plan’s price for the days so far this month, a yearly plan as a twelfth of its price a month.
Less Boring adds a little more, for readers who follow the news closely.

You have a Less Boring subscription. Manage it on your account page.
Your first subscription starts with 7 days free. Checkout asks for your card, and nothing is charged until the trial ends; cancel before then and you pay nothing. A new account gets a free week of Less Boring instead, with no card: subscribe during it and your first charge comes when it ends.
When the trial ends, you’re charged for the plan you chose: $2.99, then again every month, or $29.99, then again every year, with any tax where you live added to the price or included in it. It renews automatically until you cancel.
Cancel online at any time on your account page, under Manage subscription. You keep Less Boring until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you aren’t charged again.
On the yearly plan, cancel within 14 days of being charged for a year and we refund that charge in full, automatically, and Less Boring ends then.
Signed out? Subscribe asks you to sign in, or make a free account, with a code by email, then takes you to checkout.
